The character of Ellie should have a solid emotional range. In the story, her father suicides and there is a scene where she learns about it. Not an easy role, and so if you're looking for a Disney-like part, this isn't it. Ideal person can handle emotional drama and maybe a bit of a dark edge....
She is a ghost, and appears occasionally throughout. She appears alive in "flashbacks". She interacts with the leads ONCE during the memorial service scene (still a ghost though). Ideal person is super local and can be on-call for short-notice shooting....
