Casting the lead (and only) role in an EXPERIMENTAL short film exploring memory, dreams, and the split-self. The film is largely movement-based with no dialogue, so an actress with dance or movement experience is preferred (but not required!- there will not be actual dancing, but rather a comfortability with movement is necessary). We are shooting on 16mm and emphasizing the anxiousness of being stuck in a dream that you are trying to escape from, but cannot succeed. There will be use of double exposure, in-camera effects, and fabric-based production design in order to emphasize this hazy dream state. The director and cinematographer, Haley Spranger, is an experienced filmmaker at New York University looking to work with an open and willing actress to create her thesis film!
