Job Description
ExtraOrdinary Casting is seeking one non-union African American male for a paid background acting opportunity filming at the University of Chicago in Hyde Park. The selected talent will appear in a featured scene involving reading a letter and performing detailed hand-focused actions on camera.
Casting directors are specifically looking for talent with well-groomed hands and minimal visible markings for close-up shots.
Job Responsibilities
Perform in a featured background scene
Participate in close-up hand and over-the-shoulder shots
Follow on-set direction from the production team
Remain available for the full filming day despite a shorter scene schedule
Maintain continuity in appearance during filming
Requirements
Non-union African American male
Ages 20s to early 30s
Hands must be in good condition
No noticeable tattoos or markings on hands
Manicured appearance preferred
Must submit:
Current face photo
Photos of hands
Over-the-shoulder or side/back photo holding paper as if reading a letter
No sunglasses in submission photos
Only applicant should appear in photos
Must be available for an early morning call time and entire shoot day
Compensation
$300 for up to 10 hours
Scene expected to film for a shorter duration, but full-day availability is required
