Casting for "400 LUX," a contemporary take on the coming-of-age genre that examines how growing up within LDS culture can shape one’s sense of self and stability. Logline: A Mormon teenager on the edge of belief is reunited with his two best friends to finish production on a low-budget feature film — but as unspoken secrets, lingering trauma, and the fallout of his parents collide, he is forced to decide between the life he was raised for and the one he might actually want. Production states: We are two 18-year-olds located in Davis County, UT who are currently in production on this feature-length film. This project is deeply personal to us, and we have flown here from across the country to shoot it. This film is NOT an anti-Mormon nor pro-Mormon story, but rather an exploration of life within LDS culture open to any interpretation.
