AUDITIONS FOR TWO PLAYS!

THE MINUTES directed by Rhonda Clark and OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS directed by Billie Thrash

AUDITION DETAILS:
When: Saturday, August 29, 2026, 2:30-5:00 pm. Readings from the script. Plan to arrive no later than 3:30 pm. Callbacks will be held at a time to be determined if needed.
Where: Carpenter Square Theatre, 1009 W. Reno, Oklahoma City, OK. Free street parking available. Do not use The Horn Trader parking lot on northeast corner of Western & Reno. Parking available on ramps in front of garage doors on Reno.

THE MINUTES CAST:
8 Men, 3 Women. Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
Roles: Mr. Peel, Mayor Superba, Mr. Carp, Ms. Johnson, Mr. Blake, Mr. Hanratty, Mr. Breeding, Mr. Assalone (60s-70s), Ms. Innes (50s+), Ms. Matz, Mr. Oldfield (60s-70s, 39 years on council)
Performance Dates: October 16-November 1, 2026
Specific dates: Oct 16-17, 22-25, 29-Nov 1, 2026. Brush-up rehearsal and archive photos Oct 15. Most rehearsals Mon-Fri at 7 pm with Saturday/Sunday rehearsals as needed. First tech: Sunday, October 11 (afternoon/early evening).
Conflict dates: September 8 through November 1, 2026
Synopsis: A scathing comedy about small-town politics by Tracy Letts (August: Osage County, Bug). Set at a city council meeting, it exposes ugliness behind American narratives.

OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS CAST:
3 Men, 3 Women.
Roles: Nick (29-year-old marketing professional in NYC), Frank (grandfather patriarch), Aida (grandmother matriarch), Nunzio (grandfather, storyteller), Emma (grandmother, outspoken), Caitlin (20s-early 30s, Irish woman, Irish dialect not required)
Performance Dates: November 27-December 13, 2026
Specific dates: Nov 27-28, Dec 3-6, 10-13, 2026. Brush-up rehearsal and archival photos Dec 2. Most rehearsals Mon-Fri evenings with Saturday/Sunday as needed.
Conflict dates: October 19 through December 13, 2026
Synopsis: Nick is a single Italian-American from New Jersey who sees both sets of grandparents every Sunday for dinner. When offered a dream marketing job, he must tell his family. They begin schemes to keep him in Jersey.
