About the project:
Between Two Homes is a powerful, excerpt-style, coming-of-age drama that follows Amara Okoroafor, a Nigerian-born woman navigating identity, belonging, and faith across continents. After immigrating to the United States at a young age, Amara is thrust into environments that constantly challenge how she understands herself-racially, culturally, and spiritually.
As she moves from the warmth of her Nigerian roots to the shifting landscapes of American life, Amara struggles with being "too African" in some spaces and "too American" in others. Through moments of isolation, community, faith, and self-discovery, she learns to carry the weight of multiple identities while forging her own sense of home.
Spanning childhood to adulthood, Between Two Homes is an intimate, character-driven story about migration, resilience, and becoming-ultimately revealing a woman who no longer lives between worlds, but learns to make them whole.
