Casting actors for a lead role. "Aubade" is a short experimental film: a tone poem about absence, grief, and coming to terms with an unexpected loss. The script is spare and formally unconventional, written closer to poetry than traditional screenplay; there is no dialogue and the film lives entirely in image, space, and the face of its subject.
