THE WIFE (Dinner Couple)
You are at a dinner table with your husband, sharing a plate of spaghetti. Easy chemistry, comfortable presence, the kind of person who has shared a thousand dinners with this man and shows it.
If you land in the "normal" couple: you eat normally, look at your husband and the food normally, react normally. You are the visual control group, the calm anchor the rest of the spot bounces off. No head turning. Just present, warm, comfortable.
If you land in the "over-the-shoulder" couple: your head is turned over your shoulder the entire time. You are attempting to twirl, lift, and eat spaghetti without ever once looking at the plate, the fork, or your husband. Strong physical comedy instincts and great control required. You must commit fully without breaking, without acting nervous, without "performing the bit." You are just having dinner. The audience finds it funny. You do not.
