Casting "Bloom," a student film. Synopsis: Marissa, an elementary school teacher, receives a plant from her seemingly flawless co-worker Lydia, a self-proclaimed "plant mom." As the plant withers, so does her confidence, Marissa starts to compare herself to Lydia, wondering why she can’t seem to get it right. Just as she sinks into self-doubt, her eyes land on the colorful posters decorating her classroom walls and the glowing Teacher of the Year plaques she’s earned. In that moment, she’s reminded that she may not have a green thumb, but she nurtures something far more important every single day.
