Core Duties and Responsibilities:

· Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on television broadcast equipment, computers, networks, and facility systems.

· Maintain studios, control rooms, technical spaces, equipment rooms, and general facility infrastructure.

· Support cameras, audio/video systems, routers, servers, RF systems, control systems, and broadcast networks.

· Perform general facility repairs, installations, equipment moves, cabling, mounting, and modifications.

· Troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical, HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and building-related issues.

· Identify problems and develop practical solutions, utilizing outside contractors when specialized expertise is required.

· Assist with construction projects, facility upgrades, equipment installations, and system expansions.

· Respond quickly to technical or facility issues that could impact broadcast operations.

· Coordinate with engineering, operations, building management, vendors, and contractors.

· Document equipment issues, repairs, preventative maintenance, and system anomalies.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe technical and facility environment.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

· Technical degree, trade certification, or equivalent experience preferred.

· 5+ years of broadcast engineering, technical facilities, or equivalent hands-on experience required.

· Working knowledge of television broadcast equipment and production systems.

· Understanding of broadcast audio, video, control systems, networking, RF, and IT infrastructure.

· Strong understanding of electrical, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and building systems.

· Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems and determine practical solutions.

· Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and other equipment necessary to perform repairs and installations.

· Strong general mechanical aptitude and a natural “figure it out and fix it” approach.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure, 24/7 news environment.

· Ability to work effectively with engineers, producers, operations personnel, vendors, contractors, and building management.

· Solutions-based, team player with strong communication skills.

· Must be willing to perform both broadcast engineering and general facility maintenance duties.

· Able to lift 50 lbs.

**COMPENSATION RANGE $115K - 130K annually**
