Brood Emergence is a queer coming of age story about two people who learn to see and love each other how they truly want to be, written and directed by Anna Mikami. Logline: On the last day of their college acting program, April, a tomboy who wears her heart on her sleeves, pursues Kyle, the class clown with a heartthrob's smile, but the two of them discover that maybe what they want and need from each other is more than just girl meets boy. Her most personal short, ‘Clique Bait’ won her the opportunity to direct her fully-funded first feature, ‘Souvenirs’, which was recently acquired by Lifetime (A+E Networks). Most recently, he was a development executive for scripted narratives at HBO Asia. He is now a directing student in the film MFA program at Columbia University and lives in New York City."
