The work will be a large 12 minute looping video work featuring all of you in a wide desert landscape. The goal of the project is to feature a chaotic scene where people repeat actions over time as if everyone is stuck in a never-ending loop. We're not looking for acting so much as embodying a recognizable everyday action. (Searching for a signal on your cellphone, dragging luggage through an airport, working on a laptop etc) You will be assigned a motion, "character," and an action to repeat over the course of these 12 minutes. At the end of the scene everyone will come to the middle of the frame in rows and face the camera as if they are in a curtain call.
