Male, 50s-70s. David is a retired U.S. Navy Veteran. He lives on a modest social security check, and takes care of his wife, who has had cancer for several years. He isn’t great with technology, and is frequently taken advantage of by telemarketers and email scammers, whom he feels are attempting to take away the little bit of money which he does possess. While he wasn’t in the military service for very long, his veteran status is enough to endear him to Mike, a man 20 years his junior, who has never served in the military, but has a profound reverence for it.
