Backstory (none of this is in the film): She moved to Los Angeles with dreams of being in Hollywood, but was never really able to break into the film scene. She got a barista job in the city to make ends meet, and hoped the right person would walk in one day and give her a chance. She thought our protagonist might be that person, but quickly realizes he isn’t.
