Eliza is a small, older woman who owns Happily Haunted Books in Lockhart, Texas. She first appears on a busy sidewalk, almost out of nowhere, clocking Maya in an instant and handing her a card like she has been placed there on purpose; she is an old school rootworker and reader; she circles Maya, listens to things no one else can hear, and calmly names the symptoms of the haunting before Maya says a word; her voice is warm and a little teasing, but she carries real gravity. She talks in half riddles and jokes about herself, then drops precise, unsettling truths; the actor should be able to play quiet spiritual authority, dry humor, and a slightly offbeat rhythm without pushing into caricature; this is a dialogue-heavy, two-scene role that asks for strong presence, subtle physical choices, and comfort delivering occult exposition in a grounded, natural way.
