Drama Director

The PCS Drama Department Director provides Christ-centered leadership for the Peoria Christian School Drama Program. The purpose of the Drama Department Director is to lead a drama program that: glorifies God through the artssupports the mission and vision of PCSreflects a biblical worldviewdevelops the whole studentstrengthens the Fine Arts Departmentprovides meaningful theatrical opportunities for students in grades 5–12cultivates student growth in the PCS Expected Student Outcomesoperates with wise stewardship of time, facilities, finances, volunteers, and student capacityproduces excellent theatrical work in a healthy, sustainable, and Christ-centered waySpiritual Qualifications acceptance without reservation of the PCS Statement of Faitha clear and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christregular involvement in a Bible-believing local churcha life of biblical integrity in speech, conduct, character, and relationshipsa commitment to serving as a Christian role model for studentsa humble, teachable, and prayerful spirita desire to disciple students through the artsagreement with PCS’s mission, vision, Bylaws, Employee Handbook, and Christian philosophy of educationwillingness to support and reinforce the biblical convictions and moral standards of PCS Professional Qualifications experience in theatre, drama education, directing, performing arts, or a related fieldability to direct or oversee plays, musicals, and other theatrical experiencesstrong organizational and project-management skillsstrong written and verbal communication skillsability to work well with students, parents, faculty, staff, administrators, and volunteersability to manage schedules, rehearsals, budgets, production details, and multiple deadlinesability to select and evaluate scripts through a biblical worldviewability to mentor students in acting, stage presence, communication, production skills, and Christian characterability to recruit, organize, and lead volunteersability to work within shared school facilities and collaborate with other departmentswillingness to grow professionally as an educator, artist, and Christian leaderPreferred qualifications may include:
