Dreamwalk Park Seasonal Meet & Greet Actor: Santa Claus

Job Title: Dreamwalk Seasonal Actor: Santa Claus
Location: In Person · Part-time positions available

Pay: $11 – $13.50 per hour
Benefits: Employee discount · Flexible schedule

Dreamwalk Park is a live, walk-through sci-fi fantasy experience where guests jump through portals to explore alien realms, complete scavenger hunts or solve riddles, and meet characters from other worlds. From the moment a visitor arrives to the moment they leave, every interaction matters, and that’s where you come in.

We’re hiring experienced actors for Dreamwalk's intergalactic Santa Claus. Santa sits within the Cloud Portal, one of 10 different Sci-Fi/Fantasy themed dimensions. Guests from all around the world will line up to see Dreamwalk's Santa to make their holiday wishes. For the entire month of December you (and our team of actors) will meet and greet kids from ages 1 to 92 during the evening hours and some weekends.

Your Role Might Include:

Acting Performance & Guest Interaction

Embody the Santa persona consistently by maintaining a jolly, warm, patient, and magical demeanor at all times.
Interact with children and families by listening attentively to gift wishes, answering questions about the North Pole, and offering words of encouragement.
Pose for professional photographs and amateur snapshots, ensuring clean posture, a natural smile, and proper "open-hand" techniques for interacting with children.
Hand out small gifts to children.
Maintain punctuality and reliability, as holiday schedules are tightly packed and guests pay to see Santa at specific times and dates.

Requirements:

Acting experience; especially in meet & greet improv.
Experience interacting with people of all ages on an individual and group level.
Comfortable in costume, makeup, or themed uniforms; as well as maintaining your hygiene with the company costumes used.
Dependable, punctual, and open to flexible scheduling (weekends, evenings, holidays-including Christmas day).
Able to think quickly and creatively solve problems on the fly.
Pass rigorous background checks, which are standard for anyone working closely with children in commercial properties, schools, and private venues across Utah.
Adhere to strict physical boundary rules and safety protocols to protect both the children and the performer.
Physical Stamina: Ability to sit for extended periods (often 4 to 8-hour shifts), tolerate hot costumes, maintain a high-energy "holiday smile," and safely lift/hold children up to 30 pounds.
Fluent in English.

Bonus Qualifications:

Naturally-grown gray beard that is groomed and hygenic.
Fluency in Spanish, ASL or other languages commonly spoken in the area.
Performer/Liability Insurance
Santa School Certification
Natural "Classic" Build: Matching the traditional "jolly" aesthetic naturally (a rounder build, naturally rosy cheeks, and bright eyes) without requiring heavy suit padding or intense theatrical makeup.

Applicants should be prepared to provide a 30-60 second audition video of you acting as Santa (no costumes required). Perhaps a reading of a classic holiday story, or role-playing a meet and greet with a guest. It should at least showcase a current head-to-toe shot, a natural jolly laugh, and that warm Santa holiday charm.

At Dreamwalk Park, you’re not just helping guests walk through an exhibit, you’re helping them feel transported from the real world into mysterious alien dimensions.
