Not to be confused with a functioning hospitality institution or another “selfie-museum,” Elsewhere at the Madcap Motel is designed to take guests on a vacation from reality and rediscover the childlike wonder that exists in all of us. The Job: Guest Services In collaboration with our actors, you will be stationed throughout the “motel” to assist our guests in navigating and interacting with the space. Hours We will be open Thursday-Sunday There are 2 shifts available a day; -Thurs/Friday 1:30pm-6:30pm 6:15pm-11:15pm -Sat 10:30am-5pm 4:45pm-11:15pm -Sunday 10:30am-3:30pm 3:15pm-8:15pm You can only be scheduled for 1 shift per day (unless we are in a bind). Remote interviews and orientations will be held throughout March and into early April Training will be conducted in person at the venue We plan to be open for 1-2 years WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: -Creative, motivated individuals with a sense for customer service -Highly accountable, organized, timely employees -Those with ability to think on their feet and improvise within our whimsical world -Those with experience in the worlds of: Hospitality, Customer Service and Theatre -Problem solvers and creative thinkers -To be clear: this will not be a performative role, but we'd like to embody the spirit of the vintage motel so you may need to deliver specific language and messaging. 2- What are you like?
