The Ghost Tour Actor/Guide must have a good sense of fun and a desire to entertain while narrating a script of Charleston's ghoulish past. Share the eerie side of our region's history and entertain guests by taking them on a journey back in time by touring the most haunted places in the city! Present historically accurate information in an entertaining manner in costume, on a moving vehicle on busy streets and outdoors in various weather conditions, several times a work shift, in a loud audible voice with or without amplification to be heard from everywhere in the vehicle.Portray costumes historical characters, either based upon real persons or composites of real persons to entertain and narrate local history from an approved script.Study and rehearse roles from scripts to learn and memorize lines and cues as directed.Lead guests off the tour vehicle on walking sections of the tour while remaining in costume and character, using scripted material to provide storytelling and tour appropriate content in a variety of different locations, including but not limited to burial grounds, cemeteries, historic sites, museums, and memorials. Present the cost of tours and attractions based on the company's pricing system. Ability to work independently over long periods of time or as part of a team within the scope of established rules and regulationsAbility to read, write and speak fluent English in order to communicate with co-workers and the general publicAbility to learn stage direction and memorize historical details provided in a scripted story and relay scripted stories in an entertaining manner.
