'Independence'

Casting an all-East Asian production of "Independence" by Lee Blessing. A culturally specific take on an American contemporary play. Four characters, one black box, constant tension. Synopsis: The play follows a narcissistic mother and her three daughters who are trying to navigate the difficulties of growing up in a manipulative household while balancing their own dreams for the future. Looking for someone to be the youngest sister, Sherry. She's salty-tongued and amoral, and wants only to finish high school so she can leave home for good.
