Has seen a lot of tragedy in his life. He deals with his pain through dedication to his craft. He has a connection to the raw materials of life: sex, dreams, and art, a poet's soul. But he's too sensitive. He has to dull his sensitivity with substances; he's an addict.

The character ages from his late twenties to early 50s over the course of the movie. Looking for an actor in their 30s or early 40s who can be made to look younger and older. Any ethnicity.

Extensive full nudity in sexual and non-sexual contexts is required.
There is a post-sex scene requiring full frontal nudity and a scene walking through the house with full nudity, front and rear. Additionally there is a sex scene in the mud in the woods, a masturbation scene, a sex scene in a bedroom, and an outdoor sex scene with no nudity required.

Actors are encouraged to do or request anything that makes them feel more comfortable whether that be bringing friends, colleagues, etc. to set or requesting an intimacy coordinator. As a rule, all unnecessary crew members will be dismissed during scenes of intimacy/nudity. The production is willing to provide an intimacy coordinator if that's the preference of the actors.
