Jesus enjoys being with His disciples and treats them as friends, not merely students. He laughs easily, listens carefully, and often teaches by leading people toward the truth rather than simply giving them answers.
At the same time, there is something about Him His disciples cannot fully explain. He sees things they do not see and understands things they do not yet understand. He regularly withdraws to spend time alone with His Father and carries a weight His friends do not fully grasp.
We are seeking an actor who can portray both the warmth of a trusted friend and the authority, compassion, mystery, and sorrow found in the Jesus of the Gospels. This portrayal should feel deeply human, deeply relational, and deeply rooted in Scripture.
Longer hair and facial hair preferred
Note: Because of the unique nature of portraying Jesus, we prefer to cast an actor who personally follows Jesus Christ, believing this brings a unique depth and authenticity to the role.
