She's playful, open, sensitive, vulnerable, grounded in reality but head in clouds. Rachel is creative and curious. She wonders what's beyond the sheltered world she lives in, but, until the events of the film, has largely accepted her lot. She's used to Hannah's condescension and dismissiveness but still makes efforts to connect.
