Ezra is a 34 year old man who – more often than not – has something to say about, well, everything. He has an MFA in Creative Writing & PhD in Postmodern Literature from Denver University, and he’s got a whole bunch of opinions on what makes up a valuable opinion. He’s the kind of guy who’s quick to comment on why a certain book or film is low brow, and he's hellbent on being the smartest guy in the room – even if it’s at the expense of those around him. He’s a “writer” but really, lately, he’s a professor that writes. We meet Ezra at quite the inflection point in his life – his wife has left him, he’s moved back in with his mother (whom he has an irrationally short fuse with) and he’s recently been placed on sabbatical for the upcoming semester.
