Lead Actor Job in 'Grundy', Male, Age 40-55 - Max Mayhew

Lead, Male, 40s. Eclectic, disheveled, Pulitzer-winning journalist returning home for the first time in 20 years. Deadpan, dryly funny, carrying two decades of unprocessed grief beneath a showman's exterior. Denim-clad, chain-smokes joints, drinks fountain soda like it's oxygen. Needs an actor who can land morbid one-liners and real emotional collapse in the same scene — comic timing and raw vulnerability in equal measure.
