Lena is a girl growing up in a turbulent home, but you wouldn't know it from her disposition. She is theatrical and charismatic as she teaches us how to make a potion that will turn you into a mermaid. When her dad slams her mom against the kitchen window, Lena is faced with a decision she's encountered one too many times: go inside and intervene, or remain safe in her own fantastical world. She chooses the latter.
