The emotional center of the film. A street child who sits silently against a city wall, head bowed, until a stranger
drops torn book pages into his cup instead of coins. From that moment forward, his face does the entire job of
the screenplay: confusion, curiosity, recognition, wonder, quiet purpose. He never speaks.
We are looking for a child performer who can hold stillness on camera and let small things — a shift in the eyes,
a half-tilt of the head — carry weight. Comfort with a quiet set, ability to take simple direction ("don't look up
yet," "now look up slowly"), and an expressive face are far more important than résumé. First-time performers
welcome.
