40-50 year old Black or Latina woman; smoker; full figure; works multiple jobs; single mother under a lot of stress; experiencing atypical cardiac symptoms but wants to leave the ER to take care of her children and get back to her daily life; the concern that falls upon the nurse caring for this patient is that Shanice's symptoms are that of a heart attack and that she must stay to be sure all tests are taken to rule out something that could be life threatening, even though she "feels" Ok; Shanice should be real, intense, but not overdramatic, intent on leaving and authentic; there is no smoking on camera needed for this shoot, the character is a smoker... but the actor doesn't need to be.
