His unrelenting love for the world is constantly in conflict with the inhumane violence he witnessed. He’s quietly buried his pain; it’s easier to not talk about what happened. As an immigrant to the U.S., his wife and son are his pride and joy. He’s found peace for himself in passing on his musical legacy as a drum teacher, but his son’s friendship with a Japanese boy has forced him to face his unspoken trauma.
