Artists perform original music, engage audiences through interactive presentations, and inspire students through creativity, culture, and storytelling. Successful candidates must be strong performers with excellent stage presence, audience engagement skills, professionalism, and a willingness to learn curriculum-based scripts and songs. Responsibilities include rehearsing, performing at schools and special events, collaborating with fellow artists and DJs, traveling to performance locations, representing the School Yard Rap brand, and maintaining a positive, dependable attitude. Candidates should be comfortable working with youth, taking direction, and performing in front of large audiences. Prior performance experience is preferred; bilingual performers are encouraged to apply.
