Mysterious and impossible to read, the Witch anchors the Cursed Ones’ story. After being introduced as an innocent young woman, she quickly turns evil, transforming the five dirtbag tweens into puppets. Throughout the story, however, it becomes clear that, despite Georgie the rat’s encouragement, she is not fond of her predicament, placing her in an interesting parallel with the very puppets she cursed.
