An elder woman who is entering a transformational chapter in her life after discovering she is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. She enjoys his company as it brings balance into her life, and they have learned to naturally co-exist throughout their long marriage. While Ruby is losing her memory, she is afraid to forget her story and memories with Peter, and aims to cherish every future moment with him. Ruby begins to write in hopes of preserving her most valuable memories. In doing so, she reflects on different experiences, throughout different stages of her life that have shaped her identity significantly.
