Early 20s, the coolest, quickest, grocery store cashier in town. His hands are inhumanly quick, and he is always locked in extreme focus. Percy (the protagonist) is obsessed with Ned’s incredible scanning-quickness. While he seems to be the perfect grocery store worker, it turns out that what he really cares about is playing the xylophone in his band. Xylophone competence is preferred, but not necessary.
