Mezzo-Soprano/Belt. Originally from Georgia. Maddie is a gifted singer-songwriter who arrives in New York after fleeing a controlling marriage and starting her life over from scratch. Warm, funny, and fiercely independent, she masks loneliness and fear with charm and grit. She is beautiful (almost with an irritatingly conventional attractiveness) and privileged, and she harnesses it all very well. Also plays Madhavi, a heroine from ancient Tamil lands that is a figment of Kanika's imagination. Must sing and should have guitar skills.
