Hugo is lonely, awkward, and desperately trying to convince himself he's worth being seen. Beneath his self deprecating humor is someone genuinely searching for connection. The role requires strong comedic timing, vulnerability, and the ability to transition from grounded realism to escalating horror. Hugo appears in nearly every scene and serves as the audience's emotional anchor throughout the film.
