Lecturer – Acting and Media

The Department of Theatre at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applicants for a full‑time lecturer (3‑year contract) with a concentration in Acting and New Media beginning August 10, 2026. The position will help design curriculum and courses to prepare the next generation of cross‑trained theatre practitioners as actors, performers, voiceover artists, editors, content creators, social media film/reel‑makers, and new media producers. • Experience as a performer/actor/director/producer for the stage, camera, microphone, and/or other emergent New Media and content creation platforms. • Demonstrate a potential to create and teach acting for the camera, commercial voiceover, and other new and emerging New Media‑related classes: podcasting, streaming, film, and reel creation. Priority Qualifications • Experience teaching contemporary acting techniques and practices.
