🎭 Storytime with Mrs. Claus's Elves
Seeking energetic, comedic elves full of holiday cheer!
Must engage children of all ages, memorize a short script, and perform simple blocking.
Please prepare a festive, family-friendly holiday monologue (1 minute or less).
🎶 Kids' Show Host
Must bring strong vocals, great harmonizing skills, and the ability to radiate holiday cheer.
Strong stage presence and microphone skills
Energetic, engaging personality with the ability to connect with children and families
Strong ability to follow a script while maintaining a natural, conversational delivery
🎄 Costume Characters:
Height ranges: 5'0 - 5'3 Strong physical characterization and movementComfortable performing in full costume for extended periodsAbility to communicate and engage with guests nonverballyStrong physical stamina and awareness
🎭 Physical Comedy Performers
Strong physical comedy/movement skillsComfortable with exaggerated character work and nonverbal performanceStrong improvisational instinctsAbility to safely execute physical comedy in a guest-facing environmentCircus, clown, mime, dance, or similar performance experience is a plus

What you get to do:Embody the childlike innocence, enthusiasm, and mannerisms of the charactersEnthusiastically represent the park by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy, and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the jobPerform as Costume Character, Dancer, Character Escort, and/or Puppeteer both in-park and out-of-park as assignedPerform in stage shows, parades, meet-and-greets, and special events as assignedServe as an expert performer for multiple assigned characters, with the ability to perform all characters in your height rangePerform duties of an expert character escort, which include facilitating interaction and communication between character and guests, providing directions and park information, and entertaining guestsMay assist with character training and rehearsalsOpenly accept performance feedback and adapt accordinglyExecute pre- and post-show backstage duties as outlined in the daily scheduleAssist Costuming team with laundry and maintenance projects as neededEnsure adherence to safety and procedural directions that accompany this positionConsistently and expertly execute stage direction and show content as directed by leadershipMaintain a positive and flexible attitudePositively interact with guests, employees, and othersPerform other duties as assignedWhat it takes to succeed:Personable and animated with a fun, outgoing personalityAbility to openly accept performance feedback/critiques and adapt accordinglyAbility to work indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions and temperature extremes while performing in a character costumeDemonstrated strong costume and escorting skillsAt least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 poundsAvailability to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours, including opening/closing shifts and after-hours rehearsalsAbility to move and dance in full costume at a standard consistent with creative intentAbility to maintain character integrityWillingness to participate in regular internal performance assessmentsPrevious costume character and/or dance experience preferredPrevious guest experience in a high-volume capacity preferredPrevious experience in the fields of dance, theater, athletics, or other performance arts preferredAbility to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different cultural backgrounds, and individuals with special needsStrong verbal communication skillsAbility to stand, walk, and/or sit for prolonged periods of timeAudition requirements may include dance, movement, script memorization, role playing, comedic improvisation, and miming as necessary
What else is important:Be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbsPosition engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and may climb/ascend heights if neededPerform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching overhead, simple grasp, and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)Be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather, including extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and temperature extremesPerform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicalsWork a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, including nights, weekends, and holidaysBe flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunitiesMust be able to participate in an in-person audition at a pre-determined time
Compensation Range: 19.00 - 25.00 USD Hourly
