Job Overview
Box Out Bullying is seeking a talented male actor (playing age 20–30) to join our national touring educational theatre company. This is an opportunity to combine performance, comedy, and meaningful work by engaging students through interactive live theatre programs that promote kindness, inclusion, and bullying prevention.
This full-time touring position is ideal for an actor with strong comedic instincts, excellent ensemble skills, and a passion for connecting with audiences. Improv experience is highly valued, as performances are interactive and require flexibility, quick thinking, and authentic audience engagement.
The role includes rehearsals in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, followed by extensive travel throughout the United States during the touring season. Company housing, transportation, and travel logistics are provided.
Responsibilities
Perform interactive educational theatre programs for K–12 students nationwide.
Work collaboratively with a two-person touring company.
Engage audiences through performance, improvisation, and facilitated discussion.
Assist with basic setup and breakdown of production equipment.
Represent Box Out Bullying professionally while traveling and working with schools and community partners.
Share driving responsibilities using a company vehicle.
Lift and transport equipment weighing up to approximately 40 pounds.
Qualifications
Male actor, playing age 20–30.
Strong comedic ability and excellent ensemble skills.
Improv experience preferred.
Comfortable performing multiple shows each week while touring.
Professional, dependable, and adaptable.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.
Compensation & Benefits
$750 per performance week.
$40/day per diem for overnight travel.
Company-provided housing while touring.
Company-provided housing in New York City when not touring.
Company vehicle provided during tours.
Completion bonus.
