Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Fabrication / Weld Processing Location: Chattanooga, TN This position requires a detailed knowledge of welding codes specifications and procedures. Key Activities & Responsibilities • Ability to travel (10%) • Learn and stay current on welding codes (AWS and ASME) • Participate in welder training • May provide task-oriented direction to technicians • Provide technical support if needed, for welder performance testing • Assisting with departmental business planning • Acting as a technical resource to others, including mentoring and direction • Assist in design reviews when necessary To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are: • Welding Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or • Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering Technology with a minimum of 7 years of experience, or • Associates degree in Welding Technology with a minimum of 15 years of experience • Experience with code work (AWS, ASME, API 1104) • Typically, works with minimal direct supervision, conferring with superiors as needed.
