'Measure for Measure'

Casting Shakespeare's "Measure for Measure," a feature film.

Director states: "I have a few cast members that I know from Tucson's Shakespeare in the Park but I need more. I can start shooting right away. I won't be able to pay anyone up front but the promise I've made to the actors that have already committed is that I will do my best to monetize the result once we get it made, so if I get paid everyone gets paid. I'm shooting it as though the action took place not in 17th century London or 16th century Vienna, but in Tucson last week. I've tightened up the play a little and moved a few things around, but I'm not "modernizing" the language, it will be basically the play as written. I know that to get great actors I will have to be flexible with shooting schedules. I'm going to shoot the whole thing with my iPhone and a little TASCAM voice recorder. I still need to firm up a few locations, but there's a lot that we can do right away. By the way, I will be playing Escalus."
