Synopsis: Set against the backdrop of a deeply religious, nineteen-seventies Appalachia, a young woman must fight for the life of her beloved old hound- while dealing with a deteriorating marriage.
A SCAD student capstone film directed by Ella Bowen. Much like her entire body of work, "Old Gal" is a dark and poetic, female-centric narrative that follows the all-too familiar through line of hopeless devotion.
