Open casting call for the production of AMERICAN MARIACHI by José Cruz González, presented by The District Theatre. Seeking Latino actors/musicians who are bilingual in English and Spanish, able to sing, act, and play instruments. Preparation includes a one-minute monologue (English or Spanish), and a 1-1.5 minute song excerpt showcasing vocal range and musicality. Instrumental ability in mariachi style a plus. Rehearsals begin in September; show runs October 17-19 and 24-26.
