Outreach Coordinator needed for Community Theatre

Outreach Coordinator Salary Range $12-15 per hour (DOE - depending on experience) Part-Time Position 15-25 hours per week Please note that this position requires some weekend and evening hours Responsibilities Programs/Projects Maintain and initiate ACT’s strategic outreach plan of building community through theatre in the Fairview/Mountain View neighborhoods Maintain and initiate ACT’s strategic outreach plan of building community through theatre with Deaf and HOH members of the Anchorage community Build specific programs with new groups and organizations i.e. prisons, recovery centers, people with special needs, cultural groups, etc. Write or convert plays into format that fits specific needs of participants Produce public outreach productions incl. directing and managing actors and crewmembers, and securing venues, and marketing and promotion for those productions Work to include ACT in city/statewide functions and events relative to ACT’s Mission Statement Cultivate collaborations with local business for mutual benefit Box Office Oversee the front of the house during mainstage and second stage performances Includes receiving cash and credit card transactions, delivering curtain speech, accommodating patrons and audience members, managing concessions transactions during intermission, etc. Additional Responsibilities Assist in office and facility cleanliness and organization Other duties as assigned Skills and Qualities Selling Assertive and organized communications with ACT’s current and potential partners American SIgn Language skills is a plus Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work Exceptionally proactive and able to work independently Maintain a high level of professionalism in all work, both written and in- person Any experience in performing arts, most notably playwriting is a plus
