City Experiences is seeking a Seadog Docent for our City Cruises operation in Chicago, IL . Docents must uphold the strictest safety standards for guests and crew, while maintaining a professional and friendly manner consistent with Our Service System and assisting with docking and undocking. Stand watch in ships' bows, sterns, or bridge wings in order to look for obstructions in a ship's path or to locate navigational aids such as buoys and lighthouses Assist Captain and supervisory personnel in maintain vessel equipment and systems such as HVAC, engine, and technical equipment Load or unload materials from vessels; Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards will provide courteous customer service dealing with sale of liquor and to know and observe the various state and local regulations regarding the sale of liquor. Stock carts always in between cruises and handle inventory High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred Pre-employment and on-going random drug testing are required for all marine personnel. Per US Coast Guard regulations, must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident Must possess a service orientation - actively looking for ways to help others Must be able to throw mooring lines from ship to pier Will be required to be available for work on all major holidays City Experiences' passion is to provide amazing experiences on land and water.
