Payroll and Accounting Associate With QBO Experience

ABOUT DHAR MANN STUDIOS: Dhar Mann Studios is a video production company aimed at creating positive content for the social media generation. HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME: Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines Processes all company payments via direct deposit, PayPal or credit card Processes payroll (twice a month) Downloads bank and credit card transactions into Quickbooks daily and reconciles all records monthly Classifies expenses correctly and recommends new classifications when necessary Audits vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and catches any discrepancies Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements Enters new hire or status change information into Quickbooks to ensure employee information is accurate and up to date Prepares and recommends operating and personnel budgets for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget and recommend variances as necessary Assists with reviewing employee expense/reimbursement reports to ensure compliance with company policies Maintains all vendor records, including contracts and W9s Assists with compliance and reporting, including 1099 and W2 filings Prepares Sales and Use Tax returns for City, County, and State Helps the company to save on costs where possible WHAT YOU HAVE: 3+ years of experience using QuickBooks Online 3+ years of experience working in accounts payable 2+ years of 1099 filing experience 2+ years of corporate housekeeping and record-keeping experience Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and great communicator WHO OVERSEES YOU: The Accounting Associate will report directly to the Accounting Manager and/or Human Resources Manager WHO YOU OVERSEE: Currently, the Accounting Associate has no personnel reporting directly to him or her WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN: All the action takes place at our BRAND NEW studio in Burbank, CA!
