We believe in going the extra mile and aim to make a genuine difference in our participants’ lives.The People Specialist, Leave Experience will work to foster a cohesive, caring experience for team members needing a leave of absence. Working closely with our third-party administrator for leave administration, this role will oversee and administer all aspects of employee leave programs, such as FMLA, workers compensation, and parental, medical, and personal leaves, while providing support and empathy to employees navigating life events.Essential Job Duties:Employee Experience & SupportRefine both the leave and reentry process, experience, and communications to positively impact the employee experience before, during, and upon return from leave, monitoring trends in leave utilization and recommending policy & process enhancementsCreate and deliver leave education for supervisors, HR Business Partners, and team membersLeave AdministrationServe as the program manager for leave programs, acting as the primary internal point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave processes and timelinesCoordinate vendor management of third party leave administrators, ensuring quality service through regular reviews, issue escalation, and process improvementGenerate reports and maintain accurate leave records for payroll, benefits continuation, and compliance purposes, and work closely with workers compensation carrier to oversee the handling and resolution of claimsCompliance & ReportingEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local leave regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and other applicable lawsPrepare reports and analytics on leave metrics to support workforce planning, inform strategy, and benchmark, as well as maintain complete and accurate leave and accommodation request recordsJob Requirements:Minimum of three (3) years of experience in US disability/leave administrationMust be able to work remotely and support PST work hoursBachelor’s degree or relevant work experience preferredDeep understanding and application of federal and state disability and paid family leave laws (i.e., ADA, FMLA, PFWA, CFRA, HIPPA, etc.) You will have the opportunity to design the way we work in the context of an encouraging and loving environment where every person feels uniquely cared for.Standard business working hoursFull medical, dental, and vision insurance, beginning day oneWork/life balance - we mean it! 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick daysAnd additional benefitsSalary/Wage base range for this role is $74,612 - $98,488 / year + Bonus + Equity.
