Phlebotomist (Plasmapheresis Tech)

Pelican Plasma is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at the plasma donation center in south Shreveport. Job Duties include: • Meets and exceeds customer expectations through appropriate interaction and responsiveness to donor needs • Adheres to established quality practices while continually seeking to improve work performance • Ensures the safety of donors and purity of product as a result of the plasma collection process • Performs venipunctures and operates automated plasmapheresis machine • Provides assistance and information to donor during and following collection process • Monitors donor for adverse reactions and provides post-donation care • Ensures timely and accurate documentation in donor record management system • May perform medical screening and physical assessment to determine donor suitability • May assist in recruitment, scheduling and education of plasma donors • Maintains compliance with SOP’s, current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP) and regulatory guidelines • Promotes safety in all actions, ensuring EHS and OSHA compliance • Maintains confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information • Participates in various meetings, such as in-service training, continuing education programs, staff meetings, and safety meetings • Performs computer data entry and general administrative duties with attention to accuracy and quality assurance FLOATER: All of the above, plus • Is cross-trained to support plasma processing procedures Customer Service We make every decision and measure every outcome based on how well it serves our customers, both internal and external.
