'Pyrate'

Casting "Pyrate," a character-driven dramatic short film with elements of romance, mystery, and of a modern western. Synopsis: A bright but impoverished teen, sneaks away, leaving his abusive home in the middle of the night, setting his sights on a large homestead that is rumored - (according to his historical research) - to hold ancient treasure. Caught trespassing, he is taken in by the ranch’s owner, and is graciously given food, shelter, and work. Though outwardly shy and appreciative, the boy secretly pursues his true mission: searching barns, cellars, and stables for the hidden gold, all while unintentionally attracting the gaze of the boss's beautiful daughter. As days pass, Sidney grows closer to Keyara, who sees through his guarded exterior.
