The job is a paraprofessional position that works one-on-one with clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The RBT is a position responsible for delivering direct instruction, implementing behavior plans developed by the BCBA or BCaBA, collecting data and maintaining a professional relationship with parents and the community. Company will assist applicant with required training and provide on the job training. Applicants must be able to: • Play with children (pretend play, modeling, being silly) • Work with children who are seated on the floor and/or in small chairs • Move frequently throughout the therapeutic setting to gather materials, anticipate and respond to the movement of a patient, and/or provide instruction in a variety of settings, such as school, playground, clinic, or community locations. Must be able to articulate sound and model speaking clearly, as well as listen to and shape vocal communication of patients • Work in both indoor and outdoor settings as they relate to the patient’s natural environment, which may include being outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (e.g., community skills, recess in a school setting, etc.)
