Casting "Remembering Forward," an independent trans-led dramatic short film exploring identity, memory, and chosen family. Synopsis: Follows Dominic Moreno, a trans man in his late twenties, who survives a motorcycle accident that leaves him with amnesia. Confronted with tattoos, scars, and a body that feels both familiar and foreign, he begins piecing together his identity with the support of his closest friends: Naomi, Ray, and Leo.
Through therapy, community spaces, and the wisdom of a trans elder named Mx. Callahan, Dominic begins to reframe his memory loss as a clean slate for growth instead of a loss of self. "Remembering Forward" follows a trans male protagonist and explores beyond traditional transition narratives by focusing on the non-linear nature of identity. Its mission is to expand trans representation (beyond trauma) through authentic, character-driven storytelling. Currently in development with production planned for 2026.
